- I earned a BFA at Syracuse University and spent a year studying abroad in Florence, Italy. I am now a sailmaker and artist in Annapolis, MD. I race and cruise my three sailboats on the weekends. I enjoy painting landscapes, especially around the Chesapeake Bay. Often I will paint a watercolor sketch on site and then paint a finished oil from it in the studio. I have also been working on pet portraits, still lifes, and figure drawings lately. I also post photos of boat projects, sailing, traveling, and my life on this blog.

You have a very nice way of painting animals. Love these two, Lilli & Lola.
Thanks! They were very intelligent little dogs. I had them in my condo for about an hour and then finished the painting from photos. These dogs seemed to understand english, at least, they responded to everything I said as if they understood! I need to paint animals again, but it will have to be when I'm not so tired, after the boats get launched.
