- I earned a BFA at Syracuse University and spent a year studying abroad in Florence, Italy. I am now a sailmaker and artist in Annapolis, MD. I race and cruise my three sailboats on the weekends. I enjoy painting landscapes, especially around the Chesapeake Bay. Often I will paint a watercolor sketch on site and then paint a finished oil from it in the studio. I have also been working on pet portraits, still lifes, and figure drawings lately. I also post photos of boat projects, sailing, traveling, and my life on this blog.

Thank you Franz! Hopkin's Creek is a very peaceful place! It's very well protected from the wind- many boats anchor there when hurricanes come through.
Beautiful landscape Kristin, incredible that it is so protected even from hurricanes, must be a wonderful place indeed.

Really good picture, I have enough trouble taking photos from my dinghy. What's especially nice about your picture is the sense that one can only access that space by boat, a new dimension that is granted by the artist
