Sailing Trip 2012 Part Two

Monday 3 September 2012

1535  The cows were out on the marshy spit jutting into St. Leonard's Creek, where I remember seeing them from Interlude [my dad's boat] when I was 18.  I got in Morgaine to row over and photograph them, but it started raining, so I headed back to Ca Ira.
1905  There are also deer here, on the lawn of an estate next to where I am anchored.
1946  After dinner, started engine to charge batteries.
2046  Killed engine.

Tuesday 4 September 2012

0834  Started engine to charge batteries.
0935  Killed engine.

The above watercolor is the first from the trip.  It's from a 7" by 10" Arches block.  I painted it the morning of the 4th.

1410  Just got back from sailing/ rowing Morgaine up to the marshes at the head of St. Leonard's Creek.  I'm exhausted, but I feel great.

I will post more tomorrow!
