On Saturday, I won a race in the Good Old Boat Regatta on my Pearson Triton, Ca Ira! I've also been working on painting more placecards for my sister's upcoming wedding.
It may be the composition. The maple leaves were so large, they tend to cut the face of the card in half. The smaller pointy leaves had more negative space around them to arrange them dynamically.
I earned a BFA at Syracuse University and spent a year studying abroad in Florence, Italy. I am now a sailmaker and artist in Annapolis, MD. I race and cruise my three sailboats on the weekends. I enjoy painting landscapes, especially around the Chesapeake Bay. Often I will paint a watercolor sketch on site and then paint a finished oil from it in the studio. I have also been working on pet portraits, still lifes, and figure drawings lately. I also post photos of boat projects, sailing, traveling, and my life on this blog.

Like the last one the best but have no idea why.
