Kent Narrows

First en plein air painting of 2011! Also the first from my new 7" by 10" Arches watercolor block. I painted this last thursday when the temperature was near 60 degrees. I wish that weather had lasted, I'm not a fan of the snow we had last night.

I painted this (ashore, the boats aren't in the water yet) on the northeast side of Kent Island looking out of the Narrows. The long low land in the background in the umbrella-shaped shoreline of the Chester River.
