Two Landscapes
Here's two en plein air watercolor sketches of the Chesapeake Bay. I painted them both at Terrapin park on Kent Island. The larger one is 12" by 15." I was looking north towards Baltimore. The smaller one is 7" by 10." It's the entrance to the Magothy with a tug pushing a barge south down the Bay.

Amazing Kristin!!!
Beautiful colors and composition!
Congratulations
Obrigado Antonio!
Photography wise, these two watercolors seem too dark to me. Weren't they brighter in real life? Hmm... Something I should be aware of next time. The Eggplant photo looks great, but these two watercolors don't seem to have enough light on them. Maybe because they're smaller, I need to pull the lights in tighter? -Jennifer
Very beautiful, Kristin! Ciao!
Grazie Cristina!
Jennifer, they do look a little too dark. But maybe it isn't the lights, maybe we just picked the wrong photo from the ones that you shot when you bracketed for the lights and darks (exposure.) If that makes any sense.
Thanks Skizo!
