Mystery Bird

On June 12th, I ran my rowboat, Morgaine, aground on Hopkin's Creek's sandbar and painted this sketch. The little black bird with the orange-yellow spot flew in as I was painting. I'm not sure what kind of bird he is. Does anyone know? It might be an oriole, maybe?

From your picture I assumed that it was an Oriole, but all of the images that I could find online seem to show Orioles with a bit more orange or red ( http://www.birdnature.com/redbird.html )
I remember seeing a bird called a "red winged black bird growing up, that looks like your painting, not sure if it lives this far east though. Wikipedia says it does, but then again... that's on Wikipedia so who know.

Yeah, I have one vote on Facebook for a red-winged blackbird. And I followed your links, it looked like the picture of the blackbird. And your link to the oriole picture showed they have a yellowish stomach, but the bird I saw only had color on his wings. Thanks!
