Hi Kristin, thanks for visiting and for your encouraging comments. I really love Roger. First of all his pose is fantastic, but the way you depicted his fur is full of personality, just like his name. Well done!
Thank you! It's fun to draw Roger's fur, he's a skinny old gray cat, and his fur just kind of poofs out from him every which way. My sister named him, she's also responsible for the cats named Sir Kitty and Memphis, both names of which, while weird, seem to acurately describe the animals!
No, I'm just scanning in drawings from my sketchbook on my cheap printer/copier/scanner. Don't try to blow them up, they're really bad digital images. And I can't scan anything larger than a piece of computer paper.
I earned a BFA at Syracuse University and spent a year studying abroad in Florence, Italy. I am now a sailmaker and artist in Annapolis, MD. I race and cruise my three sailboats on the weekends. I enjoy painting landscapes, especially around the Chesapeake Bay. Often I will paint a watercolor sketch on site and then paint a finished oil from it in the studio. I have also been working on pet portraits, still lifes, and figure drawings lately. I also post photos of boat projects, sailing, traveling, and my life on this blog.

I love this one too! Why haven't I seen these drawings before? Are you stepping out with another photographer? -Jennifer
