- I earned a BFA at Syracuse University and spent a year studying abroad in Florence, Italy. I am now a sailmaker and artist in Annapolis, MD. I race and cruise my three sailboats on the weekends. I enjoy painting landscapes, especially around the Chesapeake Bay. Often I will paint a watercolor sketch on site and then paint a finished oil from it in the studio. I have also been working on pet portraits, still lifes, and figure drawings lately. I also post photos of boat projects, sailing, traveling, and my life on this blog.

Beautiful rich and dynamic painting! Love the roiling textures and colors. Also enjoy seeing your boats and all the hard work in maintaining them. Hope we'll get to see Ca Ira in full sail!
Thanks Lorraine! It's always hard to get photos of your own boat under sail, but maybe some of the other boats in the Chesapeake Bay Triton Fleet will get a few shots of Ca Ira this summer.
